Fits FJ40/45, FJ55 – 1965 – 9/1973 – Only works on models with external condenser. If your condenser is mounted underneath the distributor cap, search SKU: 553-107. -The basic function of a condenser in a coil ignition circuit is to reduce the spark at the contact points as they open inside the distributor to minimize burning the points. It is normal to change the condenser while changing plug wires, distributors cap and rotor along with other tune-up components to keep your engine running and starting smoothly.
