Shimano Deore rear derailleur RD-M5100/M5120

The Shimano Deore RD-M5100 rear derailleur was designed for 1×11-speed drivetrains and works perfectly with cassettes that have a gradation of 11-51 teeth. It features Shadow+ clutch technology, where a stabilizer counteracts chain sag, slap and drop. The rear derailleur is mounted via a standard derailleur hanger and cannot be mounted directly.

The Shimano Deore RD-M5120 rear derailleur can be combined with 2×10-speed and 2×11-speed drivetrains as well as 1×10/11-speed drivetrains. It is designed for 42 tooth on the largest cassette sprocket when using a drivetrain with two chainrings, and can handle up to 46 teeth on the largest sprocket when using a 1x set-up. The rear derailleur features Shadow+ clutch technology, where a stabilizer counteracts chain sag, slap and drop. RD-M5120 is either mounted via a standard derailleur hanger or directly.
