The Waxit Paint Prep Kit is all about ensuring that your paintwork is prepared perfectly before you apply any protective coating, whilst being very easy & simple to do.

Preparation and Decontamination is one of the most important steps in the detailing world, and is often one of the most overlooked.

All the hype is around waxes, coatings, sealants & more – boasting incredible levels of gloss, protection, water-beading & more.

Quite frankly, without proper preparation, these products will fail to perform and won’t last anywhere near as long as they claim to.

It’s simple really. If you are putting, let’s say, your favourite spray coating over the top of your contaminated paint that’s got embedded dirt, iron, tar, sap and other issues over the paint – there is a physical barrier preventing the product from bonding to the paintwork.

As these protective products are unable to form a strong bond to the paint due to contaminants, overtime the protection over these areas will fade – suddenly your protective layer is compromised with a variety of tiny “holes”.

These “holes” expose bare paint, which eventually, will get exposed to the elements, this is when your usual culprits such as UV, dirt, grime and other contaminants start eating away at the rest of your protective coating, overall making it last a fraction of the proposed durability.

Combine this with a proper decontamination process utilising the advanced clay lubricant, Nv PURIFY, and the Waxit Clay Mitt will help ensure that iron, and other contaminants are both chemically, and mechanically removed – providing an excellent level of decontamination.

Top it all off with a final wipe down of CarPro Eraser which will ensure any oils have been removed, and you will now have perfect, clean, bare paint that is ready to be protected by your favourite coating, wax or sealant!
